CD Review : Detektivbyrån – Wermland
So, the golden album I blogged about some time ago arrived at my place last week and it’s been kept hostage in my CD player ever since.

I like how the Swedish flag hanging on my wall invited itself into the picture.
Detektivbyrån’s music takes its full dimension on
From the bouncing piano on Camping to the Accordion/Vibraphone (?) duo on the opening Om Du Möter Varg or the same melody being played by different means on Kärlekens Alla Färjor and the sweet music boxes focused Rymden I En Låda no song feels weaker than the rest. The album is strong from start to finish.
There is one song that stands out a little more, though. Life/Universe features a blurry electro background beat and keyboards that tend to make it heavier than the rest, somehow. Gotta love the echoing percussions.
You can never be sure what Detektivbyrån were thinking about when writing their songs but their tinkling melodies find a way to trigger the imagination and emotions and that’s what good music does.
