The Almighty Oracle

Common Reaction isn’t coming out before August 19 (it got delayed to allow proper marketing around it…) but from what I’ve heard of the album, Uh Huh Her created a very enjoyable sound.

Right now, I’m obsessing over track #6 : Covered. There’s something about the pre-chorus that got me hooked. The rest of the song flows quite flawlessly.

Another reason to look forward to May 20, 2008 :

The first released song from No, Virginia is a live fan fav. : The Kill. It’s a little cryptic [political?] with heavy piano chords bouncing on clever drum lines topped by Amanda Palmer’s inimitable vocals. [the shouting effect around 1:55 gets me everytime; it reminds me of Half-Jack for some reason]

The first single from the upcoming full length album Common Reaction is available on Uh Huh Her’s myspace for a couple of days now.

Gotta love the harmonies and how it turns out completely 80’s with the keys at the end.
