Song in mind this morning. No real reason because it’s been forever since I last listened to Emilie Simon, maybe it’s a sign I should stop neglecting her.

Music Video : Tegan And Sara – Back In Your Head

The video premiered on spinner.com. Here it is for your viewing pleasure. The white/grey/black progression is a metaphore for a relationship that always starts perfect but at some point there are some imperfections you can either run from or learn how to deal with.

CD Review : Tegan and Sara – The Con

For their fifth effort, the Calgary twins bring in the new evolution of their sound. Whereas Under Feet Like Ours was pure singer/songwriter style with only guitar and vox, This Business Of Art added little more instrumentalisation, If It Was You pulled out their rock side with electric guitars and full band, So Jealous witnessed the addition of keyboards. This time they keep all the previous elements, make a bigger place for the keyboards or moog and add some more electro vibes to make this album the most mature and complete one. It’s darker, too. But dark is good.

Song of the Day : CocoRosie – By Your Side

Somehow I can’t get the song out of my head today so I’ll share. This is a live version, because I like it better than the original one figured on La Maison De Mon Rêve.

…music video? - now that my tv has wings i’ll never be lonely

In a Do It Yourself world, you can find every kind of things. From the so very amateurish creations you wish they never existed to the brilliant masterpieces you’re still surprised no one from the business’s bought it yet. …music video? belongs to the latter category.

CocoRosie put a spell on Lille

Yesterday [Monday, July 09, 2007], I went to my second CocoRosie concert, at the Sébastopol Theater in Lille. [The first one was in Liège, Belgium on June 03, 2007]. First of all it took me more than an hour to get to the concerthall even though it’s theoretically a 20 minutes long drive. All I was thinking of then was “Damnit, this is a seated gig and I’m so beyond in time I’ll have to sit on the second balcony!”. Luckily, it was raining so there was only about 30 people waiting. I set myself in the waiting line, center door [That's the one they always let people in through], set my mp3 player to Bat For LashesFur And Gold album [More about that one another time] and text M. to know whether he’s coming to the gig or not. He didn’t make it, after all. Continue Reading »

The Almighty Oracle – Fade to White

Welcome to the new version of my humble website. Provided to you by WordPress.I originally wanted a white theme and name it “surgically white“, don’t ask. Surgeons don’t even dress in white. But lately it’s been “Fade to White” so that’s what it’s called for now. I may change my mind again, but that doesn’t really matter. The content does.

Talk about content : I intend to write mostly about music here [Because that's my "way of thinking" as my sister told me the other day] but there will probably posts about movies or TV series as I’m interested in that, too.
