CD Review : Detektivbyrån – Wermland

So, the golden album I blogged about some time ago arrived at my place last week and it’s been kept hostage in my CD player ever since.

I like how the Swedish flag hanging on my wall invited itself into the picture.

Detektivbyrån’s music takes its full dimension on , an album that features a wide range of melodies, sometimes overlaying each other and many different instruments constantly surprising the listener.

Detektivbyrån

Jon Nils Emanuel Ekström, Anders Flanders, Martin Molin are Swedish, they’re in a band named Detektivbyrån and they play music without words.

As you can see on the photo : they use drums, vibraphone and accordion but also piano/keys, music boxes, bells or glockenspiel to create little pieces of art that will enchant your ears and make the world seem sweeter for a moment.

Today, the band posted a video of themselves signing about 400 albums [pre-orders] that will be sent around the world and I find it cool that one of those golden things will actually be mine in a couple of days.
